Allah says:"O you who believe, repent to Allah with Nasuhaa Repentance (pure repentance)." (QS At-Tahrim [66] : 8)Allah has given us time to repent before Kiraaman Kaatibin (a noble angel who records our deeds) records our deeds.
The Prophet said: “The angel on the left holds up his pen (i.e.
delays writing) for six hours (this may refer to six hours of 60 minutes per hour as calculated by astronomers, or it may refer to short periods of day or night –Lisaan al -Arabic) before he recorded the sins of a Muslim.
If he regrets it and asks Allahs forgiveness, that (bad) deed is not recorded, other than that it will be recorded as one (bad) deed." (Narrated by Ath-Thabrani in Al-Kabir and Al-Baihaqi in Shuab al-Iman – Branches of Faith); stated by Al-Albani in the Genealogy of Al-Hadith Ash-Shahihah, 1209).A further grace period is given after the charity is recorded, until the moment before death approaches.The problem is that many people today do not place their hope and fear Allah.
They betrayed Him by committing all kinds of sins, day and night.
There are people among those who are tried with the thought of considering sins as insignificant, so you can see that one of them considers certain minor sins (saghaair) insignificant, so he might say, “What harm is there if I see or shake hands with women who are not mahrams?” They think its okay to look at women in magazines or TV shows.
Some of them, when told to them that this is haram would ask jokingly, “Then how bad is it?
